Life flight on the lawn

I'm up at the lake today. It's cold and windy and sort of a typical November day - ugly fall weather, but not quite winter yet. I have a nice fire going, horses are munching hay from the round bale feeder, dogs are asleep at my feet. Here's a picture from last summer sometime. It's our local Missoula life flight crew. They are on the front lawn in front of the lodge. We're the only spot on the lake it can land. And it is a pretty cool spectacle when they do land. Rotor blades create huge havoc!! They were probably here to pick up someone injured from the rope swing. Rope swing injuries are not uncommon throughout the summer season. FYI, the forest service cut down the rope swing tree so it's gone for now. Also, the lodge does not ever recommend interacting with a rope swing...heh.
