Only in Montana - elk on your car
It is so so common (this time of year especially) to see people driving around with a carcass or two secured to the top of their vehicle or laying, guts to the sky, in the bed of their pickup. Folks, it's like having a horse on the roof of your car. One house I drive by on hwy 200, has a whole zoo load of animals hanging up to "cure", including a mountain lion one time, for all to see.
With that said, we do have elk running around the woods near the lodge. Rarely do they come down to visit our lawn. That's more for our horses and the local whitetail and mule deer.
